The main character of the film – Justa, is a policewoman. During a manhunt, she makes a mistake which results in the wanted person managing to flee from the police. She is force to take some time off, however she does not give up on the case and starts conducting her own investigation. The situation gets even worse when professional and personal life of Justa start interconnecting with each other which makes the character commit a crime.
A story of a difficult love between two people who cannot live without one another, but they also cannot be with each other. The story is told against the background of events of the Cold War in the 1950s and 1960s and is accompanied by a soundtrack that combines Polish folk and jazz music.
A documentary film presenting two women representing two opposite poles of a political division in Poland. They stand on the opposite sides of a barricade during a manifestation, and they share the same idea of patriotism, but understand it differently. For Marta, it is in the national and catholic meaning, and for Tita – in a European and liberal one.
